CONGRESSIONAL PRINTING MANAGEMENT DIVISION
The Congressional Printing Management Division (CPMD) functions as liaison between the Government Printing Office and the U.S. Congress. CPMD staff provides daily assistance to Members and officials of the Congress, its committees and their support staffs, concerning the printing and binding requirements of the Congress. Their primary purpose is to aid in effectively carrying out the legislative agenda of the Congress and facilitating the printing requirements of other daily Congressional activities.Functions:
- Delivery and receipt of printed products to Congressional offices, accomplished by GPO Congressional Receiving Clerks assigned to House and Senate Platforms which are directly managed by CPMD.
- Coordination of scheduling and printing, for posterity, of the Congressional Serial Set, which is comprised of the sequentially numbered, bound volumes, of House and Senate Reports and Documents.
- Coordination and maintenance of distribution lists for all congressional and department/agency requests for printed congressional products.
- The Division also manages approximately 70 Production Department employees detailed to congressional committees and offices for the purpose of assisting those organizations with their printing requirements.
