Inside Adobe Illustrator

What You Will Learn

This comprehensive hands-on class covers Illustrator’s tools for creating graphics used in printed documents, in electronic presentations, and on websites. Small projects during class will illustrate major topics such as type treatments, simple illustrations (no drawing skills required), and common web graphics. Additional topics covered include: creating multiple versions for press and web; color space for press and web; file format requirements; compatibility with Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, and Photoshop; and adjusting pre-made clip art.

Target Student

This course is intended for creative professionals, illustration artists, print professionals, publishers, pre-press professionals, and marketing communications professionals involved in page layout for print, web or cross-media purposes.

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer’s operating system such as creating folders, launching programs, and working within a Mac or Windows environment.
