• Web Portal consisting of 688 unique links
• Designed for kids (ages 5-13)
• Site has 20 categories:

• Most are related to school subjects (ex., art, science and math, geography)
• Added other categories to accommodate other areas (ex., careers, fighting crime, state sites, and transportation)

• Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA):
• We collect no information from children
• Non-government websites that we link to must self-certify that they are COPPA compliant

• Internet Content Rating Association (ICRA):
• Generates a Content Label which is added to a website.
• Labels are read by browsers. They will disallow access to web sites based on the label information

Linking priority:

• Primarily government links
• Non-profit organizations and education sites
• Commercial websites are provided as supplementary information

Link evaluation criteria:

• Primary intent of the site is to educate and inform
• Site information falls into one of our categories
• Site is targeted for kids (ages 5-13)
• Site sponsor clearly identifiable
• Site does not promote specific religious or social agendas.
