How does the library define the mission of the online catalog?

Reflection of library’s inventory or access tool for resources outside of library walls?
Clarify how "owned resources vs. free online resources should be treated.
What is the acceptable level of accuracy?

How will resources be identified for cataloging?

Use depository item selection profile to purchase GPO records from vendor, automatic loading of records into catalog.
Use URL Locator on Documents Data Miner 2 - http://govdoc.wichita.edu/ddm2/gdocframes.asp
Identify new titles using New Electronic Titles: http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/locators/net/index.html, then download records from OCLC
Identify resources through reference interactions, preparation for library instruction, librarian or faculty recommendations. If you submit documents to GPO (http://www.access.gpo.gov/su_docs/fdlp/tools/lostdocs.html) they will eventually provide cataloging.

What linking method should be used? PURL vs URL

Created and maintained by GPO
GPO will use to direct to archived copy if no longer available from agency site. (Example)
